Social Media Intern - Apply By January 15

EMF has a small but mighty team in need of a volunteer social media intern. We are looking for someone who understands social media basics and has a desire to grow their skills with an established, non-profit brand in emergency medicine. This is a great opportunity to add to your resume, make new friends in EM, interact with EMF board leaders, and have a lot of fun. We are open to working around your other commitments to establish a mutually beneficial pace of work.

Intern Description:

• Build EMF social media presences through growing a following on key platforms by creating and executing a social media strategy
• Create social messaging that helps EMF communicate and connect within the medical community
• Build and execute cross promotional strategies with partner and associated organizations
• Work with past researchers to capture bite size video content that allows EMF to better share out their story

Qualifications:

• Preferred 1 year commitment
• Ability to either build posts for staff to execute and/or post in real time to coordinate with campaigns, events, and conferences
• Basic understanding of medical terminology (e.g., MPH, medical student)
• Experience creating persuasive content
• Preferred experience working in emergency medicine
• Work within brand guidelines and collaborate with EMF staff and board
