Dr. Broder was the winner of the EMF/GE Research Challenge and was awarded $200,000. He will work on his project titled "3D Augmented Ultrasound for Identification of Abdominal/Pelvic Traumatic Hemorrhagic Shock" at Duke University School of Medicine.

Dr. Blank was a finalist in the EMF/GE Research Challenge and was awarded $50,000. He will work on his project titled, "The Description of Lung Ultrasound from Initial Neonatal Transition in Extremely Preterm Infants" at The Royal Women's Hospital and Monash University, Australia.

Dr. Favot was a finalist in the EMF/GE Research Challenge and was awarded $50,000. He will work on his project titled "The Impact of Noninvasive Positive Pressure Ventilation on Left Ventricular Strain in Acute HF" at Wayne State University.

Dr. Liteplo was a finalist in the EMF/GE Research Challenge and was awarded $50,000. He will work on his project titled "Carotid Ultrasound in Sepsis and Hypotension (CUSH)" at Massachusetts General Hospital.

EMF/EMAF Health Policy Research Scholar

Dr. Burke was named the EMF/EMAF Health Policy Research Scholar and was awarded $200,000 over two years. She will work on her project titled "Measuring Quality of Emergency Care: Do Process Measures Correlate with Patient Outcomes?" at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

EMF Research Fellowship

Dr. Mould-Millman was awarded the EMF Research Fellowship grant for $150,000 over two years. He will work on his project titled "Implementation of a Novel Prehospital Shock Care Intervention in a Resource Constrained African Setting" at University of Colorado, School of Medicine.

Dr. Walker was awarded the EMF Patient Centered Outcome Research Grant for $100,000 over two years. She will work on her project titled "Shared Decision Making to Improve Goals of Care Discussions in Elderly Emergency Department Patients" at the Mayo Clinic.

She will work on her project titled "Biochemical assessment of medication adherence among patients with heart failure in clinic and the emergency department" at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
