How long does the LOI have to be?
Less than 1/2 page.
When will I hear about the LOI?
Our goal is for a response within 1 week.
Can I change the Aims I propose in the LOI?
Yes, we view the proposed Aims as a draft and not final. This gives us a sense of what you’re proposing.
Is there a chance my LOI will not be accepted?
Yes it is possible, but our purpose in having the LOI is to get a sense of who is planning to submit a proposal, and that the proposed work is within the scope of EMF’s priorities. Proposals clearly outside of EMF’s funding priorities and those that do not meet the intent of the RFP may not be asked to submit a full proposal.
